Ms. Magan Porter - Principal

Dodd Principal Ms. Magan Porter
Serving the faculty, students, and families as the principal of Dodd Elementary is a privilege! It is important that, as a school, we uphold the values of the Wylie Way as well as our mission of keeping kids first!

I moved to Wylie in 2013 as the Akin school counselor and then served as the assistant principal there for two years.  Previously, I was a school counselor and kindergarten teacher in Bryan, Texas.

I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education.  My Master’s degree is in School Counseling from Sam Houston State University, and I went through Lamar University’s Professional Preparation Program for my Principal Certification.

Being a Dodd Dino is the best! I look forward to what our children will accomplish this year as we learn and grow together!

Mrs. Alyshia Zimmerman - Assistant Principal

Assistant Principal Alyshia Zimmerman
I am very excited to be here at Dodd serving as the assistant principal. This year will begin my 22nd year in education. I have taught special education, 2nd grade, and 5th grade, and served as a campus reading specialist prior to becoming an assistant principal. I am a graduate of Texas Christian University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Habilitation of the Deaf and Lamar University for my Masters in Administration.  I live in Wylie with my husband, our three boys, Isaac (13), Evan (10), and Max (10), and our one adorable golden retriever, Luka.

I believe open communication is essential in a school and encourage you to reach out to me with any questions you may have. I look forward to meeting all our little Dodd Dinos this year and being part of this wonderful learning community in Wylie ISD.
