Principals

I truly believe I’m the luckiest principal in the world to lead Dodd Elementary—there’s no better place to be!

I began my educational career in Royse City ISD, where I worked as a special education paraprofessional for three years before teaching 3rd and 4th grade for ten years. I then served as assistant principal at Whitt Elementary for two years and Watkins Elementary for one year, before joining the Dodd family. It is a true privilege to support our amazing Dinos, dedicated staff, and wonderful families each day.

My husband, Kevin, and I have been happily married since 1995. We have two daughters, Kaylee and Kassidy, and we enjoy spending time together with our two dogs. In my free time, I love reading, traveling, and making memories with my family.

I believe in the power of strong relationships and that every child can learn and thrive. I’m proud to be part of the Wylie ISD community and especially grateful to call Dodd Elementary home.

I began my teaching career in 2007 and have had the privilege of teaching kindergarten, first grade, and English as a Second Language. I actually completed my student teaching in Wylie ISD and have proudly called this district home ever since.

My husband, Stevland, and I have a wonderful daughter, Adelynn, and two sweet dogs. Our family has made our home here in Wylie, TX, and we love being part of this community.

I am passionate about building strong relationships and want every student to feel valued and excited to come to school each day. Outside of school, I enjoy CrossFit, spending time with my family, and a good cup of coffee.

I wholeheartedly believe that Dodd Elementary is THE very best place to be!
